Do you have plans for Mardi Gras?

We do!

When we say “laisser les bon temps rouler” and your response is a blank stare, we’re concerned. Here at The Park, Mardi Gras is a treasured tradition, and you won’t want to miss our festivities on Tuesday, 17 February.

To get the party started, the band Brass Volcanoes will get the good times rolling at 7pm, and alongside a special menu, we will serve inventive versions of classic New Orleans cocktails. Will you try La Louisiane, made of Rittenhouse rye whiskey, Cocchi di Torino vermouth, benedictine, and bitters? Or perhaps the Absinthe Suissesse, with La Fée Parisienne absinthe, Tempus Fugit crème de menthe blanc, orgeat almond syrup, and orange blossom water? Some of us fully intend to overdo it on the Hurricane, a classic (if occasionally lethal) concoction of aged rum, lime and orange juice, passionfruit, and grenadine. Finish off the feast with complimentary slices of King Cake. If someone at your table finds a plastic baby toy inside—it symbolises baby Jesus, a tradition that originated at Epiphany celebrations in Europe—your desserts are on us.

If you feel compelled to pelt us with plastic beads on the way home, well, we’ve done our job.
